In order to qualify for points in any Omagh Wheelers competitive event during 2008, all competitors must have an ICF licence in place by 28 February 2008.

All competitors MUST agree to take on the role of Head Marshall on at least one competitive event during the year. The Race Event Calendar on the website indicates the event each competitor has been selected to act as Head Marshall.

  2. Have with him at least 2 other competent marshalls
  3. Not assume that Leo McKenna or Enda Harpur will be present. If either is to be counted as a marshall, then this must be arranged with them in advance.
  4. Have with him, or have immediate access to Sign-On and time sheets.

Head Marshall must then:

    1. Arrange for the erection of warning signs where appropriate
    2. Arrange time gaps and set riders off as close to official start time as possible
    3. Arrange for marshalls to be present at each  major junction along the route. In the case of time trials, the turn must be controlled by at least 2 marshalls
    4. Arrange for himself and other marshalls to have suitable clothing, i.e. yellow jackets, and red flags where appropriate.
    5. Ensure the finish line is properly marked with white paint, cone and chequered flag.
    6. Arrange for the operation of the video camera at the finish line (races only).
    7. Arrange safe traffic management at the finish line.
    8. Prepare results, and pass on sign-on sheets (title and dated) to the Club Race Events Organiser, PRO or website representative on the night.

Any breach of points 1-4 above will lead to the marshall being disqualified from points in ALL competitive events throughout the year. There will be no exceptions.

Any breaches of points a-h will lead to the loss of 5 points per breach.

In the event of a dispute, the competitor affected must formally make a case to any Club Committee member. The matter will then be heard by the full Committee at the next scheduled meeting. The Committee will have the final say on any dispute.
